Long Story Short is a project I started with a friend and research partner in September 2017, largely to practice digital media production. Long Story Short's content aims to take timely, complex, "long story" questions and answer them in a constructive, nuanced, and approachable way.
While marketing Long Story Short outside of family/friend circles has thus far not been a focus, some topical episodes have gained larger audiences than others. Our videos on gene therapy and peak oil theory are approaching two and three thousand views, respectively.
The show has slowly developed to include more animations and visualizations - older episodes tend to lean more on stand-up narration. The series has touched on a wide range of topics including sustainability, the structure of the universe, mutually assured destruction, and more.
